The feng-shui.life service is operated by an individual running this as an indie project. For privacy inquiries, please contact: privacy@feng-shui.life.
2. What Data We Collect
This application has no user accounts and no server-side database. All data is stored exclusively in your browser's local storage (localStorage):
- fsc_user_profile — birth year or date (optional), Chinese zodiac sign, preferred language. This data never leaves your device.
- fsc_streak — daily visit streak counter (date of last visit, current streak). Stored locally only.
- fsc_theme — your chosen color theme (light/dark).
- fsc_cookie_consent — your decision regarding consent to analytics cookies.
3. Cookies and Analytics
Only with your explicit consent do we load Google Analytics 4 (ID: G-SJBM99Z194). Google Analytics collects anonymous traffic data (pages visited, session duration, country, device type) and may set its own cookies (_ga, _ga_*).
If you decline or do not give consent, Google Analytics will not be loaded and no analytics cookies will be set.

4. Hosting and Server Logs
This service is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may automatically record standard server logs (IP address, HTTP headers, request URL) for a short period in accordance with their policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
5. Your Rights (GDPR)
Since personal data (birth date) is stored exclusively in your browser, you have full control at any time:
- Access and deletion — via the app's profile settings or by clearing your browser data.
- Withdraw analytics consent — click "Decline" in the cookie banner or clear localStorage (key
fsc_cookie_consent).
For matters related to Google's data processing, you may contact Google directly or file a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the EU, your national DPA).
